Everyone know that Lidar Mapping companies uses the light detection and ranging technique (LIDAR)and its remote sensing technique has created a space for itself amongst its peers in the remote sensing techniques of this century. Well we also agree that remote sensing method is used for mapping small areas more acutely. Although there are few pros and cons with Lidar none can deny the place it has created for itself for. Lidar vegetation Mapping is used to make a mapping technique by which topographic as well as other data information is being explored for the erection of high ways to urban planning elements.

Lidar works with the use of laser rangefinder resulting in the creation of data base sets of millions of random, individual points using the above-ground feature such as vegetation and on the ground mapping methodologies. A specialized software is used for processing work and that means with less human effort at the stretch of the laser light the calculation of intricate/minute factors are possible by the help of the Lidar vegetation mapping.

Lidar has got wide spread applications right from the Military, Agriculture, Archaeology, Geology, social science. Lidar Mapping companies have devised many applications/ devices with Lidar. The Lidar detector or the detector with the laser technology is designed in such a manner to detect the infra-red emissions.

The detection devices of Lidar can be used to warn motorists that their speed is out of the limit and the warning signal indicates the laser to create erratic readings from air borne moisture and even through smoky areas. The differential absorption of Lidar (DIAL) can be used to detect the trace amounts of gases in the atmosphere above the hydro carbon deposits.

Apart from the role played by detection devices of Laser the 3D Flash with the 2D cameras has got its own application in the Autonomous navigation, adaptive cruise control, avoidance of collision and adaptive suspension.

The popularity of the LIDAR is on the rise because it is cost effective, easy to operate and its ability to purge through any atmospheric areas enables the user to get the required work done. Lidar is used as a remote detection instrument for LiDAR Vegetation Mapping (high resolution 3D mapping) purposes also,

Lidar‘s high resolution and accuracy is used in the creation of many maps. It is thus used in the conjunction with aerial photography .In fact it is useful for mapping terrain models, including the topography. Many high resolution counter maps could be easily jotted down with the sensors of the Lidar. Even the speed of the wind and the vertical distribution of the aerosol particles are made possible by the Lidar.

LIDAR is thus an all-rounder and its role in calculating very high altitudes or mapping a source of terrain mapping has helped and would continue to help army, aviation, engineers, and even geologists in their profession.
